Employing a mixed-methods approach, which includes qualitative and quantitative data from case studies, surveys of local residents, and environmental assessments, the research finds that well-implemented sustainable tourism strategies can lead to significant economic gains for local communities while simultaneously fostering a culture of environmental stewardship and cultural appreciation. Key findings indicate that areas adopting responsible tourism practices not only enhance local livelihoods but also experience improved community health outcomes as environmental integrity contributes to better public health standards. Significantly, the research demonstrates that by prioritizing sustainability in tourism, stakeholders can mitigate adverse environmental effects, thereby promoting healthier ecosystems, which are crucial for overall community wellness. The implications of this study are profound for the field of healthcare, as it reveals a direct correlation between sustainable tourism practices and enhanced public health, suggesting that tourism development policies should incorporate health-focused strategies that reinforce environmental sustainability. This research advocates for a redefined perspective on tourism as a pivotal element in supporting both economic vitality and public health, urging policymakers and tourism developers to adopt comprehensive approaches that emphasize long-term community and ecological health over short-term economic gains.

Ms. Priya Harit Copyright (c) 2025 International Journal of Educational Research http://ephijer.com/index.php/er/article/view/146 Sat, 29 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0000 EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AS A PREDICTOR OF ACADEMIC SUCCESS IN NURSING STUDENTS: A NARRATIVE REVIEW http://ephijer.com/index.php/er/article/view/133
Emotional intelligence is an essential component of all fundamental nursing education programs and the nursing profession as a whole. Its implementation in nursing is critical because it provides nurses with the skills they need to manage stress, negotiate emotions, and develop connections with patients, families, and other healthcare providers. The Indian Constitution incorporates sustainable development values through various provisions, including Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles of State Policy (DPSP), and Fundamental Duties. This paper explores the meaning and type of sustainability values, defines sustainable development in context of constitutional provisions, and examines its integration within constitutional mandates. It highlights the role of the Preamble, Fundamental Rights, and DPSPs in fostering sustainable development, along with significant judicial interpretations and legislative frameworks. By analysing legal and policy measures, thepaper underscores India's commitment to achieving sustainability while maintaining economic and social justice. The discussion further emphasizes the importance of judicial interventions and public participation to ensure environmental conservation and equitable resource distribution. It concludes that while India has made considerable strides in incorporating sustainable development principles, effective implementation remains crucial for long-term sustainability. The conclusion integrates sustainable development through constitutional provisions, legal frameworks, judicial explanations and environmental challenges, emphasizing collective action. The research hypothesized positive correlations between psychological capital and psychological well-being, as well as components of psychological capital (hope, self-efficacy, resilience, and optimism) and psychological well-being. This was a quantitative study with a correlational design. The data was collected through purposive sampling from 80 bank employees (40 males and 40 females) aged between 25-30 years, representing various hierarchical levels within the banking sector. The data was analyzed through the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Results indicated gender discrepancies in both psychological capital and psychological well-being among bank employees. Additionally, psychological capital demonstrated a positive correlation with psychological well-being. Components of psychological capital, efficacy, resilience, and optimism showed positive correlations with psychological well-being, while hope displayed a negative correlation. These findings underscored the importance of psychological capital in fostering psychological well-being among bank employees.
Priyanka Gautam, Samriddhi Jha Copyright (c) 2025 EPH - International Journal of Educational Research http://ephijer.com/index.php/er/article/view/135 Fri, 28 Feb 2025 00:00:00 +0000 THE CINEMATIC REPRESENTATION OF THE TAWAIF: PROTO-FEMINISM AND PATRIARCHAL CONSTRAINTS IN MUZAFFAR ALI’S UMRAO JAAN (1981) http://ephijer.com/index.php/er/article/view/148
Muzaffar Ali’s Umrao Jaan (1981), an adaptation of Mirza Mohammad Hadi Ruswa’s Urdu novel, immortalizes the life of a 19th-century Lucknow courtesan, Umrao Jaan Ada. This paper examines the film as a cinematic exploration of the tawaif’s paradoxical existence within a patriarchal society, where she is both revered and commodified. Through a feminist lens, the study analyzes Umrao’s transformation from a victim of abduction to a culturally refined poet and performer, arguing that she embodies a proto-feminist defiance against systemic oppression. However, the film also underscores the futility of her aspirations for social legitimacy, trapping her within the confines of her role. By situating Umrao Jaan within the socio-historical context of Avadh’s cultural decadence, this paper highlights the film’s nuanced portrayal of gender, agency, and resistance, contributing to discourses on courtesan narratives in Indian cinema.
Pritirekha Neog Copyright (c) 2025 International Journal of Educational Research http://ephijer.com/index.php/er/article/view/148 Fri, 18 Apr 2025 00:00:00 +0000
