About the Journal

The EPH-International Journal of Educational Research (EPH-IJER) (ISSN: 2208-2204) is a quarterly, peer-reviewed, and open-access scholarly journal published by Southern Cross Academic Press. The journal serves as an international forum for researchers, academicians, educators, policymakers, and practitioners to publish and exchange innovative research and scholarly insights in the broad field of education.

The journal aims to promote the advancement of educational theory, policy, and practice by publishing high-quality and original research that addresses contemporary issues, emerging trends, and practical challenges across diverse educational contexts. It encourages interdisciplinary and cross-cultural perspectives that contribute to the improvement of teaching, learning, curriculum development, educational leadership, and policy formulation.

The EPH-IJER is firmly committed to best practices in scholarly publishing. Editorial decisions are made independently and are based solely on academic merit, originality, methodological rigor, and relevance to the journal’s scope. The journal follows the ethical principles and professional standards recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and maintains clear policies on authorship, conflicts of interest, plagiarism, data integrity, and corrections or retractions.

All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential. Each submission is evaluated by at least two independent experts to ensure fairness, objectivity, academic integrity, and scientific quality. Constructive feedback from reviewers supports authors in strengthening the clarity, validity, and impact of their work.

As an open-access journal, all published articles are made freely and permanently available online without subscription or access barriers, enabling the widest possible dissemination of knowledge. The journal supports the principles of global knowledge sharing and academic accessibility in line with internationally recognized open-access publishing principles. All accepted articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) through Crossref, ensuring persistent access, reliable citation, and long-term discoverability.

The journal welcomes the submission of original research articles, review papers, conceptual studies, and case studies that contribute meaningfully to educational research and practice at local, national, and international levels.
