Our Policies
Archiving Policy
This journal is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, integrity, and accessibility of its published scholarly content.
To support this commitment, the journal utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a free and distributed digital preservation service developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) for journals using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Through PKP PN, all published articles and their associated metadata are securely archived to ensure permanent availability.
The PKP Preservation Network stores content across multiple independent and geographically distributed preservation nodes. This approach safeguards the journal’s scholarly record against data loss, technical failures, website disruptions, or potential journal discontinuation, ensuring durability, reliability, and long-term access.
Key Features of the Archiving System
-
Long-term digital preservation of all published articles
-
Secure, distributed storage across multiple preservation locations
-
Protection against data loss, system failures, and platform changes
-
Continued access to published content even if the journal website becomes unavailable
This digital archiving and preservation policy reflects the journal’s commitment to internationally recognized best practices in scholarly publishing, supporting research integrity, transparency, and the permanent accessibility of published research.
Plagiarism Policy
The EPH-IJER maintains a strict policy against plagiarism and upholds the highest standards of academic integrity.
Plagiarism in any form—including direct copying, improper paraphrasing, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, or the use of material without proper citation—is considered unethical and unacceptable. All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening using similarity-checking tools before and during the peer-review process.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are entirely original and that all sources, including previously published work, data, figures, and ideas, are appropriately cited and acknowledged. Any use of third-party content must comply with copyright and licensing requirements.
Manuscripts found to contain significant plagiarism or unacceptable levels of similarity may be rejected without further review. If plagiarism is identified at any stage after publication, the journal reserves the right to take appropriate action, which may include issuing a correction, publishing an expression of concern, or retracting the article, depending on the severity of the case.
The journal follows internationally recognized ethical publishing standards and encourages authors to adhere to best practices in academic writing and research integrity.
Open Access Policy
All articles published in the EPH-IJER are freely and permanently available online under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license. Authors retain copyright. Articles are published without embargo, assigned DOIs, and preserved for long-term access.
In accordance with COPE principles, the journal maintains full transparency in its open-access publishing practices, and all information regarding access, copyright, and licensing is clearly and openly stated on the journal website. Read More About Open Access Policy.
Peer Review Policy
All submissions to the EPH-IJER undergo an initial editorial assessment for scope, originality, and ethical compliance. Manuscripts that meet the journal’s requirements are reviewed through a double-blind peer review process by independent experts in the field.
Reviewers evaluate the academic quality, originality, methodology, and clarity of the manuscript. Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial team makes the final decision (acceptance, revision, or rejection). Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts to address reviewer comments.
The journal follows ethical peer-review practices in accordance with COPE guidelines, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and transparency throughout the review process. Read More....
Post-Publication Policy
The journal is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. If errors, ethical concerns, or cases of misconduct are identified after publication, the journal may take appropriate corrective actions. These actions may include the publication of corrections, expressions of concern, or retraction of articles, as necessary.
All post-publication actions are carried out in accordance with internationally recognized ethical publishing standards and best practices.
