Copyright and Licensing

Southern Cross Academic Press allows authors to retain the copyright of their published articles. Authors may use their work freely for academic, professional, and personal purposes without restriction.

Authors are permitted to share, distribute, archive, and promote their published articles in both electronic and printed forms. They may also reuse parts of their work, including figures, tables, and excerpts, in future publications, research projects, or teaching materials. Any patent or proprietary rights arising from the research remain with the author(s).

Authors may distribute or sell their work worldwide without seeking prior approval from the publisher, provided that the original source of publication is properly acknowledged.

Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the content they submit. By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:

  • The work is original and has not been plagiarized

  • The manuscript is not under review or published elsewhere

  • The content does not infringe copyright, privacy, or personal rights

  • The material is lawful and does not contain defamatory statements

  • All listed authors have contributed substantially and agree to the submission

Journal Rights

Southern Cross Academic Press reserves the right to investigate concerns related to plagiarism, copyright violation, or ethical misconduct. If such issues are confirmed, the publisher may take appropriate action, including correction, withdrawal, or retraction of the article, in order to protect the integrity of the academic record.

Licensing

All articles published in the International Journal for Research in Educational Studies are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Under the terms of this license, users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, adapt, and reuse the published material in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the source of publication.

Authors retain the copyright of their work and grant the journal a non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, and distribute the article. The CC BY 4.0 license allows for wide dissemination and reuse of published content while ensuring that authors receive proper attribution for their work.

There are no restrictions on access or reuse beyond the requirement for proper citation. Any reuse or redistribution of the material must clearly indicate if changes were made and must not imply endorsement by the author or the journal.
